Welcome, newcomers and visitors!Visitors are welcome to stop by any of Arlington's senior centers during the centers’ scheduled hours. Center staff and volunteers are glad to chat with newcomers, and many activities are free or drop-in. Other programs, such as special-event meals and exercise classes, require paid registration in advance. Center staff and volunteers will help you observe activities to see if they are what you are looking for.
Get a 55+ Pass today! Individuals (55 and older) or households can register with the Arlington Office of Senior Adult Programs. With the 55+Pass you’ll get access to senior center programs, discounted trips and classes, and free M-F access to fitness centers at Thomas Jefferson (6:25 a.m.-2:30 p.m.) and Barcroft (8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.). You’ll also receive bimonthly home delivery of the 55+ Guide.

Download Registration Form (88KB)Many activities listed in the program guide and shown on the online County Calendar require advance sign-up. In most cases, you can register for an activity or class series by calling the phone number listed. When there is a fee, you may mail a check or pay at the senior center. Checks should be made payable to “Treasurer, Arlington County.”
A schedule of Senior Adult Travel day trips and overnight trips is published in the bimonthly program guide, and also posted on the Senior Travel webpage. There are two ways to sign up for trips:

All senior centers will close when Arlington County schools close for inclement weather. When Arlington County schools open two hours late, senior centers will open at noon, but lunch programs and transportation service at Walter Reed, Langston-Brown and Arlington Mill-Fairlington Senior Centers will be canceled for the day. For Saturday programs, please call the Arlington County Inclement Weather Line at 703-228-4715.
For Senior Adult Travel, the decision to cancel a trip due to weather is made on the day of the trip. Participants should call 703-228-4748 for an up-to-date recorded announcement of the status of a trip on inclement weather days.
