Track at Greenbrier There are several outdoor tracks open for community use in Arlington County during various times. The general operating hours for community use are listed below, however, please note that these operating hours vary significantly depending on scheduled events at the track (i.e.; track meets, lacrosse games, varsity football games, special events, etc.). Please note: Any person, groups or organizations offering classes, clinics, or other instruction on or in Arlington County facilities must have a current contract with Arlington County. Running groups are encouraged to contact the Facilities Scheduling Office to make arrangements for use of the various tracks in order to achieve minimal impact to other community users.

We strongly encourage track users to subscribe to our monthly list serve that sends out the monthly calendar schedule for all of our stadium facilities. To subscribe, please contact the Facilities Scheduling Office at 703-228-1805.

General Track Operating Hours (subject to change based on scheduled events)

Greenbrier Track: Opens at sunrise and closes at dark or fifteen minutes after the last scheduled event on the field.
Wakefield Track: Opens 7:00 a.m. until dark or fifteen minutes after the last scheduled event on the field.
Washington-Lee Track: Opens 7:00 a.m. until dark or fifteen minutes after the last scheduled event on the field.
Thomas Jefferson Track: Opens at sunrise and closes at 10:00 p.m.

Lights are only used for events that are scheduled on the field. The track is closed during all high school games, track meets and district, regional and state tournaments, DPR youth track meets, and county sponsored special events.at Washington-Lee and Wakefield Stadium. Greenbrier track is closed during high school lacrosse games, varsity football games, track meets and district, regional and state tournaments, DPR youth track meets, and county sponsored special events.
