Open studio programs allow artists to work independently, while workshop programs provide opportunities to learn from master artists. Thomas Jefferson Community Center Art Studios
The open art studios at Thomas Jefferson Community Center are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Open studio sessions are designed for individuals to work independently in a creative and safe environment. Previous experience and basic skills are necessary since there is no instruction provided during these sessions. Lee Arts Center
The Lee Arts Center, a program of the Arlington Cultural Affairs Division, is housed in the Lee Community Center. Studios for ceramics and printmaking are maintained in large, airy rooms with abundant natural light. There are ongoing open studio programs in pottery, ceramic sculpture, tilemaking, and printmaking. The Open Studio program is designed specifically for self-directed individuals working at advanced levels in ceramics or print media. The Master Workshop program provides opportunities to interact with visiting master artists in one, two and three-day workshops covering a wide variety of media. The Mini Gallery is a small exhibition space within the Lee Arts Center which provides an opportunity for local and national artists to show their work in approximately 12 solo and group shows per year. Fairlington Community Center
