Arlington celebrates its African American culture at the 20th annual Feel the Heritage event on Saturday, February 25 from 12 to 5 p.m.

Relocated this year to Langston Brown Community Center (2121 N. Culpeper Street), the event will feature:

  • Live music, dance and comedy
  • A wide array of vendors
  • Free children's activities, including: make and take crafts, face painting, and balloon art
  • Delicious Soul Food from Bar-B-Que At Its Best
  • "Hall of History" featuring photos and artifacts from Arlington's historically black neighborhoods and churches
  • Hall's High/Highview walk with WalkArlington
  • Free health screenings and flu shots
  • Purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win two round-trip plane tickets to 40 destinations in Africa, courtesy of Ethiopian Airlines

On-site parking is very limited. Free shuttles will run from Carver and Charles Drew Community Centers and Glebe Elementary (1770 N. Glebe Road).
