The Workforce Investment Board (WIB) is a business-led board that provides leadership and direction to the local workforce development system in Arlington County and the City of Alexandria. It is a 42-member board with 50% of the members appointed by the Arlington County Board and 50% appointed by the Mayor of Alexandria. The membership is comprised of prominent business and community leaders. The WIB works in partnership with the local elected officials of both jurisdictions to set direction and to provide oversight of workforce services to area job seekers and employers.
