About the Decal Competition
- The Decal Design Competition was started in 2005 to not only give Arlington residents a say in what goes on their windshield, but also to give high school students the opportunity to showcase their creativity.
- Traditionally, the contest has been open to all high school students residing or attending school in Arlington.
- Once all the entries are in, a Citizens' Panel meets to narrow down the entries to four finalists.
- The finalists' designs are put to a county-wide vote (online and through the Sun Gazette), and the winner is announced at a County Board meeting.
