Booted Vehicle Information
A vehicle with three or more outstanding tickets can be immobilized with the use of a "boot". If the debt and boot fees are not paid within 24 hours of booting, the vehicle is the towed. In addition to the boot fee, storage fees are incurred once a car has been impounded.
How to find your car
If your vehicle has been towed due to a boot, you must contact the Arlington County Police Department at (703) 228-4251. You may inquire about the amount necessary to claim your vehicle. You may be informed of the location of the car, but ticket debt must be fully paid before you can retrieve your car.
Payment
Payment must be made at the Arlington County Treasurer's Office, located at:

2100 Clarendon Blvd., Suite 215 (2nd floor cashier windows)

8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday - Friday
After hours until 10:00 PM
After hours until 10:00 PM, payment may be made at the Front Counter of the Arlington County Police Department, located at 1425 N. Courthouse Rd., Arlington, Virginia 22201. (703) 228-4251.
Payments made at the Front Counter MUST BE MADE IN CASH, no change is available.
