Live a more active life. Join the FitArlington Teen Fitness Challenge! This program will allow Arlington teens the opportunity to learn how to workout safely, gain an understanding of overall health benefits through physical activity and hopefully develop a lifelong fitness habit. It is open to Arlington County students aged 13-18 years old.
Work Out at Your Own Pace! After joining the FitArlington Teen Fitness Challenge, you will learn the basics on how to workout safely in a weight room environment and be able to train at any of our designated FitArlington Teen Fitness Challenge locations. While there, your teen mentor will help you as you lift. Continue your workout at the gym or at home to prepare to move up to the next level. After graduating from the FitArlington Teen Fitness Challenge, you are invited to workout at any of Arlington’s fitness centers. Graduates are also encouraged to share their knowledge by becoming a Certified Spotter and mentor other interested teens.
Work Out for Less! $10 covers your membership costs until you graduate from high school. Reduced fees are available to qualifying households.
How Does It Work? You will need to register for the program, pay the $10 registration fee and attend the introductory training sessions to become a member. Once a member, you’ll receive your membership card and be able to start training.
Want to join? Contact Mr. Shanan Knox at 703.228.7782 or email Sknox@arlingtonva.us.
