Spraygrounds
The Virginia Highlands Sprayground will be closed Tuesday, June 18, 2013, so that we can apply a non-skid coating to the splashpad to reduce falls. It will reopen Wednesday, June 19, 2013 after 1:00. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The spraygrounds are open Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. Enjoy! Please note that hours of operation for the spraygrounds, posted at the bottom of this page, may vary on holidays.
Sprayground Rules
Concrete is slippery when wet. Water shoes are HIGHLY recommended.
- No Lifeguard on duty. Adult supervision is required.
- Interact with the spray ONLY if free of diarrhea for the past two weeks.
- Diaper-age children or incontinent persons must wear a "swim diaper."
- Surfaces may be hot or slippery. Water shoes are recommended.
- No running or horseplay allowed.
- Appropriate swimwear required.
- Do not climb or hang on features.
- AVOID drinking the water.
- No glass containers, bicycles, skateboards or inline skates.
- No food or drink allowed.
- No pets allowed.
- Having fun is permissible and highly encouraged.

 | Drew Playground FeaturesSchool-Age playground and Sprayground (enclosed), Restrooms (accessible, at community center), Baseball Field (diamond field #1- youth only, permit takes priority - bleachers, players bench, dirt infield, backstop), and a Basketball Court (1 court with lights). There is limited street side parking next to the park with additional parking available in the community center lot. |

 | Hayes Park FeaturesPre-school and school-age playgrounds, a Sprayground, Tennis Courts (2 courts with lights), Basketball Court (1 court with lights), 24-hour public restrooms, water fountains, picnic tables and a picnic shelter. Parking is available in the on-site lot with additional parking available across the street at Arlington Science Focus Elementary. |
