Park Enhancement Grant Program FY 2013
The Arlington County Park and Recreation Commission is pleased to offer Park Enhancement Grants for FY 2013! This competitive program provides grants of up to $15,000 for park projects that are sponsored by county citizens. Grant applications are reviewed and approved by the Park and Recreation Commission and, ultimately, the County Board.
Program Purpose
- Enables Arlington citizens to initiate small capital improvement and beautification projects for Arlington's parks and recreation facilities in their neighborhoods;
- Encourages community support for public parks; and
- Streamlines these improvements to be completed without going through the normal County budget process.
First Steps
- Read the PEG Program Guidelines FY 2013 (PDF).
- Attend a PEG Program Information meeting on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 7 pm at the Central Library, 1015 N Quincy Street, Arlington (2nd floor meeting room).
- Submit a letter of intent for your project by June 15, 2102 as directed in the guidelines.
