Public Spaces for Public Use!

Arlington County has a wonderful infrastructure of rooms, fields, pools, pavilions, and recreation areas available for use by the public. To reserve a space, please contact the Facilities Scheduling Unit (703-228-1805) unless otherwise specified below.

Amusement Activities for Parties and Fairs
Have a moon bounce or other kiddy amusements at your next party or fair. The award-winning Arlington T.E.A.M. program not only supplies residents with great amusements at a great price, it also teaches local teens about running their own business, customer service and other skills to advance their employment options. 

Community Center Rooms
Need a spot for a meeting, party or special event? Community Centers have rooms to fit a variety of needs and events.

Community Gardens
Enhance the green space in Arlington with your very own garden. Residents can plant vegetables and flowers in these wonderful spaces for their own use. For information call 703-228-6426.

Fields
Stay active on an Arlington field! Apply for a permit to use Diamond (Softball/Baseball) Fields, Rectangular (Soccer/Football/Lacrosse/Rugby) Fields, Synthetic Turf Fields, as well as Basketball/Volleyball Courts and the Gunston Bubble.

Please note that any person or organization offering classes, clinics, or other instruction on or in Arlington County facilities must have a current contract with Arlington County. Facility permits for such uses are not issued by the Facilities Scheduling Office. Please contact Jennifer Groner via e-mail or at 703-228-1818  for more information.

Gunston Bubble
Enjoy a turf field indoors! The Gunston Bubble is great for soccer, baseball and softball training, indoor soccer games and great parties when you combine the bubble with T.E.A.M. amusements.  

Gymnastics Birthday Parties at Barcroft
Here’s the perfect party for your birthday boy or girl (ages 4 and up)! Includes age-appropriate gymnastics activities, such as an obstacle course, a tumble track, the foam pit and games.

Picnic Shelters
Six of Arlington's parks have picnic shelters for large private and corporate picnics that are available for rental from April through October. Between November and May shelters are not reserved but can be used on a first-come first-served basis.

Portable Stage
Arlington County's mobile stage is available for rental. This portable stage is great for concerts, plays, and other events! Please contact Hal Crawford (703-228-1845) for more information.

Rosslyn Spectrum
Auditorium and theatre style seating for 387, ideal for conferences, lectures and multi-media presentations.

Tennis Courts
Tennis courts in the following parks can now be reserved online: Bluemont, Bon Air, Quincy, Virginia Highlands, Gunston, Greenbrier, Fort Scott, Jennie Dean, Glebe, Madison Manor, and Tuckahoe. Reservations for 1 hour (min) to 1.5 hours (max) in length can be made 1-14 days in advance. Weddings and Receptions
Fort C.F. Smith Park is a beautiful 19-acre site that includes a lush tree canopy, an open meadow, the lovely Hendry House and preserved earthworks of the Civil War fort built in 1863. For rental information call 703-243-7329 or email.
