The Hall’s Hill High View Park Archive Room was born out of the community process in which County staff and neighborhood residents engaged in a series of discussions to generate ideas for the design the new Langston-Brown Community Center. Neighborhood residents expressed the need for a feature in the new facility that would honor and preserve the rich history of the Hall's Hill High View neighborhood.
The community and staff discussions ended with an agreement that the new Langston-Brown Community Center would include an Archive Room which was accomplished when the new community center opened in August 2003. Through private donations and grants from the Arlington Community Foundation and Arlington County Park Enhancement Grant program, the Archive Room has been beautifully outfitted. The Archive Room features many collections including videos, articles, and pictures related to significant events.
