Family Time: Five Meals a Week

Each year, the Health Education Committee is launching a health initiative based on an expressed need from our schools or our community leaders.  For 2009, our initiative, Family Time, centers around eating at least 5 meals together as a family to promote the developmental needs of children, as well as promote nutrition and family bonding.  Research from various sources has documented the positive effects of eating together, whether dinner, breakfast, a snack, or any other meal, in the home or on the go.
