Transit Advisory Committee
The Arlington Transit Advisory Committee advises the County Manager and staff on the implementation of the Transit Element of the Master Transportation Plan (MTP) and on issues related to transit in Arlington County, including metrorail and metrobus, Arlington transit and STAR. The committee is made up of 15 members appointed by the County Manager who live or work in Arlington. John Carten currently serves as Chairman. The Transit Advisory Committee (TAC) has a subcommittee that meets to review accessibility issues including access to transit vehicles, stops and stations and the specialized transit services provided by STAR and MetroAccess.
The Transit Advisory Committee meets most months on the second Tuesday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and the meetings are open to the public. The meeting location varies. For further information, please contact the staff coordinator, Mr. Richard Hartman via email or phone 703-228-4019.
