OverviewArlington County Department of Environmental Services, Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and members of the Arlington County community have worked together to develop pedestrian safety improvement plans for Glebe Road from Fairfax Drive to Carlin Springs Road. This includes the intersections of North Glebe Road and North Carlin Springs Road, Wilson Boulevard and Fairfax Drive and the intersection of Fairfax Drive and North Wakefield Road.

The plans for the Project include the following pedestrian safety features: reconstructing intersection corners that were not rebuild with new development; improvements to the existing sidewalks and ramps; improved striping for crosswalks; upgrades to street lighting. pedestrian and traffic signals and signage. The planned upgrades will improve pedestrian, bicyclist and vehicular safety in the Corridor.
