Advocacy & legislative priorities

All federal lobbying services are provided by Arlington County staff. The Federal Liaison, is part of the County Manager's Office and serves as the primary advocate with the U.S. Congress and federal agencies. Arlington’s Federal Liaison is Brian Stout. All state lobbying services are provided by Arlington County staff. The Commonwealth Liaison, is part of the County Manager's Office and serves as the primary advocate with the Virginia General Assembly, Governor's Office, and state agencies. Virginia Legislative Delegation Holds Hearing in Arlington

Each year, Arlington County's delegation to the Virginia General Assembly holds a legislative hearing receive public comments on legislative and budget issues in preparation for the Virginia General Assembly session. Watch the January Public Hearing with Arlington’s State Legislative Delegation.
