Everyone who uses the Pentagon Reservation parking lots to park and travel to Downtown D.C. or view the fireworks from the Reservation will be subject to the following guidelines:
Pentagon North Parking Lot: Lanes 48 through 63 will be open to the general public. Vehicles will be randomly inspected. Parking on Boundary Channel Drive or on the grass is prohibited.
Pentagon South Parking Lot: All Lanes in the South Parking Lot will be open to Pentagon employees with Pentagon parking permits ONLY. The Eads Street, Fern Street and Hayes Street lots will be closed in support of another special event.
The Pentagon North/South Connector road will be closed starting at 3:00 p.m. and will remain closed until 10:30 p.m.
The National Park Service will make Gravelly Point (off northbound George Washington Parkway adjacent to the airport), available for parking and for fireworks viewing. However, due to construction, The National Park Service will not allow cars to park on the grass adjacent to the George Washington Memorial Parkway along the snow fences, north of Gravelly Point. Fort Myer is closed except to residents and guests.
Traffic around the Pentagon Reservation during and after the fireworks display is expected to be very congested.
