EVENT ALERT: 1700AM Arlington Launches

Arlington "flips the switch" on its new emergency radio station

NOTE TO MEDIA: Good sound and visuals of "turning on" the station.

WHAT: Official launch of Arlington's new emergency radio station, 1700AM Arlington. The new station will provide up-to-the-minute information during a crisis or emergency situation. During non-emergency times, the station will broadcast public service emergency preparedness messages. The public is invited to attend.

WHEN: Monday, October 16, 2006, 9:00 to 9:30 a.m.

WHERE: N. George Mason Drive and Wilson Boulevard at the Fire Station #2 (at the antenna site for the new station)
