ARLINGTON, Va -- The public is invited to celebrate the completion of Buckingham Plaza this Tuesday, Sept. 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The project is the result of a unique partnership between the federal Community Development Block Grant Program, Arlington County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources and Arlington Public Schools.
A vacant piece of land at the corner of George Mason Drive and Henderson Rood that is owned by Arlington Public Schools has been transformed into a pedestrian refuge that serves as an attractive entry to the Buckingham Community.
Join Arlington County Board Chairman Christopher Zimmerman and board members Barbara Favola, and Walter Tejada in this free event at the northeast corner of George Mason Drive and Henderson Road. Parking is available at Barrett Elementary School.
