Calling All Volunteers: Help Clean Arlington Streams
Help needed in the aftermath of recent flooding
What:
- Arlington County is calling all volunteers to help clean up our local streams which were badly damaged in recent storms.
- This event is free and open to the public.
Who:
- Individuals, families, scouting groups, school groups, service clubs and anyone who wants to make a positive contribution to our environment.
- Volunteers should wear waterproof boots and bring work gloves.
- An adult must accompany children under 16 years of age.
- This activity is not recommended for children under six years of age.
When:
- Saturday, August 26, 8:00-11:00 a.m.
Where:
- Designated sites in Madison Manor, Bon Air, Bluemont, Glencarlyn, Arlington Mill, Barcroft and Shirlington Parks to help clean up along Four Mile Run.
- If you would like to coordinate a clean up of another Arlington stream, give us a call and we’ll help you to get organized.
