    Environment and Energy Conservation Commission

     

    The Environment and Energy Conservation Commission (E2C2) is appointed by the County Board to review and provide advice on a broad range of environmental and energy conservation issues. Topics include:

    • The quality of the natural environment of Arlington, taking into account the inter-relationships among air, water, and land.
    • Energy conservation in public and private buildings.
    • Environmental issues impacting the health of Arlington citizens.
    • County projects impacting the environment.

      Meeting Schedule

    E2C2 meets monthly, generally at 7:30pm on the fourth Monday of each month. Meetings are held in the Azalea Conference Room in the lobby of 2100 Clarendon Boulevard, unless otherwise noted.

    Read the 2010 Workplan for E2C2 *, which describes the special projects and ongoing activities in which E2C2 is involved.

      Public Comment

    The first few minutes of each meeting are designated for general public comment. Residents are encouraged to provide comments on environmental or energy issues of concern in Arlington. (Individuals may speak for 3 minutes; those representing an organization may speak for 5 minutes.)
