    Industrial Development Authority of Arlington, Virginia

     

    The Arlington County Industrial Development Authority (IDA) is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia that was created on July 28, 1978, pursuant to the Industrial Development and Revenue Bond Act of 1950.  The IDA is comprised of a 7 member Board of Directors who are appointed by County Board resolution. 

    The IDA supports the economic and commercial development of Arlington County by acquiring, owning, leasing, and disposing of properties and making loans to the end that the IDA may be able to promote industry and develop trade by inducing manufacturing, industrial, governmental, nonprofit and commercial enterprises and institutions of higher education to locate in or remain in the County and further the use of its agricultural products and natural resources.  The IDA promotes the safety, health, welfare, convenience and prosperity of Arlington County residents.
