Meeting called to order at 7:00p.m. by Doug Bradley, Chair.
LHRC Funds Report: The financial report was given.
Old Business/ New Business:
Minutes from the 10/27/08 meeting were reviewed, and the minutes were passed unanimously.
Old Business: Ron asked about using funds for administrative support. Deb and Doug will look into this.
New Business: Deb will have the regional LHRC training at NVTC on 1/15/09 from 7-9pm. Additionally, the FOIA training for the Arlington LHRC will be given at the 1/5/09 meeting.
Executive Session: At 7:14pm, Christina Kozyn read the committee into executive session with “I move that the Arlington Local Human Rights Committee go into executive session pursuant to Virginia Code, 2.2-3711.A., paragraph 15, for the protection of the privacy of individuals and their records in personal matters not related to Public Business.” Margaret Hanson seconded. All members certified.
Regional Advocate’s Report: The Regional Advocate’s report was presented in executive session.
Quarterly Provider Incident Report: The members reviewed the quarterly incident reports.
Restrictive Program Plan:
The committee reviewed behavioral reports from CRI.
Confidentiality Statement: At 8:41pm, The Committee came out of Executive Session to vote on the plans. Christina Kozyn stated: “Each member shall certify that to the best of their knowledge that only matters for the protection of the privacy of individuals and their records in personal business were heard, discussed, or considered.” Each member replied, “I so certify.”
8:42pm: Nick Lucas moved, Christine Kozyn seconded that all plans be approved as discussed. Motion passed unanimously.
8:44pm: Ron Honberg moved, and Nick Lucas seconded to adjourn until 7pm on 1/5/09. Motion passed unanimously.
