Neighborhood Day's goal has always been to help Arlingtonians make connections with neighbors. Our traditional neighborhood events do just that. Input from the 2008 Diversity Dialogues and Neighborhood Day surveys show that residents want to better connect with people across town too…and that's why Neighborhood Day is partnering with Taste of Arlington. What better way to nurture a new friendship than with food, music and great conversation!
Here's a great idea! Make a friend on Neighborhood Day and take them to the Taste of Arlington. Taste of Arlington is an annual event that transforms the Ballston area into a lively street festival, complete with local entertainment, children's activities, special exhibit, and lots of food from Arlington restaurants. Each year, over 40 restaurants participate in this spectacular community event. This year, the event will expand its footprint by providing a deeper flavor of Arlington County, showcasing the County's urban villages such as Ballston, Clarendon, Columbia Pike, Rosslyn, Shirlington, Crystal City and Pentagon City. The event is hosted by the Ballston-Virginia Square Partnership, in partnership with the Clarendon Alliance, Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization, Rosslyn Renaissance and the National Science Foundation.
