aturday May 18, 2013 is the annual Turtle Trot 5K! Chip timed on a certified course in Lower Bluemont park starting at 329 North Manchester St. Check in at 9 AM, race starts at 10 AM. Participants can also enjoy a "make and take" art project. Registration is $30 for adults, $15 for kids 12 and under. Proceeds from this event fund wildlife rehabilitation at LBNC. One of our FitArlington partners is providing a FREE TRAINING for Arlington based preschool teachers. Preschool Healthy Eating/Physical Activity Grant 
The Healthy Community Action team of Arlington is working with the Virginia Cooperative Extension to provide Mighty Moves and Food Friends kits to 11 Arlington based preschools. Applications for the kits are being accepted through June 12, 2013. Read the application.
