Retirees with Virginia state tax withholding: Some retirees January 2012 net retirement benefit was greater than normal due to an incorrect Virginia state withholding amount. This is a one-time systematic issue which we have identified and resolved; Virginia state tax withholding will be correct going forward. Personalized letters are being mailed 2/1/12 to all impacted retirees.
The Arlington County Employees' Retirement System manages the investment of the Retirement fund and distributes fund assets in the form of benefits to retirees.
