Parent Education Program: For Family Service Providers

The Parent Education Program offers classes to meet the needs of clients who are involved in domestic violence, custody, and juvenile offense cases through the Arlington County court system; involved with Child Protective Services; or are referred to attend parenting classes by other Arlington County service providers, such as school counselors, mental health services, child health programs, domestic violence programs, or other community service providers.

Important information about Parent Education Classes

  • All parents MUST REGISTER for the class with the Parent Education Coordinator.
  • Arlington parents have priority for registration. Classes fill up quickly; parents should register in advance.
  • Childcare is provided at no cost on a space-available basis for Parenting with Success and Crianza con Exito.
  • Parents must maintain good attendance and participate in the class in order to receive a certificate of completion. Only one absence is allowed. If a parent misses two classes, he/she must register for another session.
  • If you require information about the parent in the class, we must have a signed Release of Information on file.

The Parent Education Program has teamed up with the Arlington Partnership for Children, Youth and Families and other parent education service providers in the county to create the Arlington County Parent Education Network.
