Parenting with Success (by referral only).  An 8-week course for parents referred by social services, schools, courts, or other service providers.  DHS, 2100 Washington Blvd, Lower Level, 6:30-8:30 p.m.  Meets every Tuesday through June 19.  Childcare provided.

Crianza con Exito (by referral only).  An 8-week course in Spanish for parents referred by social services, schools, courts, or other service providers. DHS, 2100 Washington Boulevard, Lower Level, 6:30-8:30 p.m.  Meets every Tuesday through June 19. Childcare provided.

Wednesday, May 9TTeaching Children Responsibility and Independence. Are you looking for ways to foster independence and responsibility with your child/ren?  Join us in a workshop and discussion about things you can do to build independence and help your child/ren understand how to be responsible.  Childcare available.  Human Services Center at Sequoia, 2100 Washington Blvd., Lower Level 7-8:30 p.m.  Advance registration requested, but walk-ins welcome. Do you struggle with getting your kids to do everyday, typical things, like getting dressed, brushing teeth, or making their bed?  Join us in this workshop to look at some everyday activities that kids should do easily (but somehow turn into power struggles or simply won’t do) and discover strategies to help support kids with everyday routines. Wednesday, May 30Sibling Rivalry. Here we go again!  Will my kids ever get along?  Join us in this workshop to learn more about sibling rivalry and how parents can keep their sanity in the midst of the struggles. Crianza con Exito (in Spanish)

Parenting program in Spanish for parents with children ages 0–18. It focuses on helping parents improve their parenting skills and their family relationships. Open to Arlington residents or individuals receiving services in Arlington.

Parenting with Success (in English)

Comprehensive parenting skills training based on the STEP curriculum. Suitable for parents of children ages 0–18. Restricted to Arlington residents or individuals who are receiving services in Arlington County and mandated to take a court-approved parenting class.
