The Code of Arlington County requires that all dogs living in Arlington for at least six months are to be licensed. Virginia code § 3.1-796.86 requires that dogs more than four months old must be vaccinated against rabies. License fees are $10 for one year or $25 for three years. Service dogs are not required to have an Arlington County dog license.
