The Arlington County Sheriff's Office is a Nationally Accredited Public Safety Agency located in Northern Virginia bordering the Nation's Capital and serves a population of almost 200,000. Sheriff Arthur employs approximately 270 sworn and civilian personnel and manages an overall budget of over 35 million dollars. The Sheriff is an elected state constitutional officer serving a term of 4 years with right to succession.

Fingerprinting:  

Fingerprinting hours are Monday - Thursday from 1:30pm - 3:30pm.  Please see the FAQ page for more information.

Detention Center Visiting:

Personal visiting hours in the Detention Facility are Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  Professional visiting hours are Monday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and then from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  Call 703-228-4470 for more information.

DETENTION CENTER

Detention Center Visitation:

Professional Visiting hours are Monday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and then from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Personal Visiting hours are 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. On Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and then from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

Deposit Money for Inmates

Money Orders for Inmates may be dropped off during visiting or mailed to the address below. Only funds in the form of a money order, cashier's check, or certified check, not to exceed $100, are accepted.

You can electronically transfer money to an inmate account: www.GovPayNow.com or call 1-888-277-2535

You will need the following information: Inmate name, number, facility code (DCA), pay location code #5500

A kiosk is also available in the lobby of the Detention Center to deposit money to an inmate's account using cash, debit or credit card.
