Man Wanted for Rape
Suspect also linked by DNA to a case from 2008

ARLINGTON, VA

The Arlington County Police Department’s Special Victims Unit has named a suspect in the burglary and sexual assault of a woman that occurred on Saturday, September 26, 2010, in the 2500 block of N. 20th Street.

Ronald Perry Berton entered an apartment through an unlocked front door and found the victim sleeping. He sexually assaulted an adult female and stole items from the apartment before fleeing the area. Berton has also been linked by DNA evidence to a similar crime that occurred in September of 2008 in the 2100 block of N. 18th Street.

Ronald Perry Berton, 36, is 5’11” and170 pounds. A photo of the suspect is attached. He is currently wanted for Rape, Entering a Dwelling with Intent to Commit Rape, and other related charges.
