Arlington Man Charged with Attempted Murder
Suspect’s Wife Recovering in Hospital
ARLINGTON, VA
ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit is investigating an attempted murder that occurred on Monday, January 5, 2009, in North Arlington.
At approximately 3:50 a.m., police received a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute in an apartment in the 1900 block of N. Culpeper Street. The responding officers forced entry into a locked bedroom when they heard someone inside the room in distress. A 24 year old woman was found bound on the bed, with a ligature around her neck. She was treated by medics and transported to an area hospital.
The victim’s husband, Juvenal Flores-Nava, 28, of Arlington, was also located in the bedroom. He was charged with Attempted Murder and is currently being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility.
