Complaints
The Arlington County Police Department mission is the reduction of the incidence of crime and the improvement of the quality of life in Arlington County by making it a place where all people can live safely and without fear. As part of this mission, it is the policy of the Arlington County Police Department to provide citizens with a fair and effective avenue for redress of their legitimate complaints against practices or employees of the Department, to protect employees from false charges of misconduct, and to provide accused employees with due process safeguards. The Internal Affairs Section is responsible for assuring compliance to policy within the Department and investigating allegations against the Department or its employees.
