Arlington Kids In Action! Elementary After School Programs in Arlington County Community Centers

DPR Elementary After School programs provide a safe, challenging and enriching environment. Our program is designed based on research from the Search Institute that has identified 40 Developmental Assets that are proven building blocks to help young people grow successfully.

DPR Elementary After School programs include homework time, active play, arts and crafts, nutritious snacks and field trips. The Department of Parks and Recreation is committed to promoting participation by providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities, upon request.

Registration is open from May 14th - August 15th for all Arlington Residents!
DPR Elementary After School programs is for children in Kindergarten - 5th Grade
Children in Kindergarten must be 5 by September 30, 2012
After School Programs run from September 10, 2012 - June 14, 2013.
After School Programs run Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
$135 per month (fee reductions available)
Program only operates when school is in session
Transportation is not provided from schools to program sites. Ask your school about alternative bus routes!

Payment Schedule
Important payment information:

Payment Due at time of Registration is 1st Month ($135 or refer to chart below if you qualify for a fee reduction).
Payment is collected one month in advance on a monthly basis.
Entering or leaving the program in the middle of the service dates will be pro-rated at $8 per day.
A 10% discount is provided for families with multiple children (first child pays 100%, additional children receive 10% discount).
Payment plans are also available!

Don't let the fee be a barrier to participating
Arlington County does not want fees to be a barrier for those who participate in County classes, camps or programs. Fee reductions are available on a sliding scale based on household income & size. For more information call or visit the Facility Manager at your After School Program. Appointments are recommended. Fee Reduction forms are available on site and online.
