The Arlington County Park and Recreation Commission regrets to report that the Park Enhancement Grant (PEG) program has been temporarily suspended, as funds were not included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 budget, approved by the County Board on April 28, 2009. This funding cut for the upcoming year does not impact projects that were approved for FY2009. Work on those projects will begin in early summer.
The Commission is committed to the PEG Program and remains hopeful it will be reinstated in next year’s budget. We appreciate all the past efforts by communities who have participated in this valuable program and we look forward to offering these grants again in the future.
