Graduated from Radford University with a BS in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism with a TR concentration. Currently working on MS in TR from Indiana University through distance education. Has been working with Arlington County since 2005. Previously worked in a Psychiatric Facility leading group therapy, in a Rehabilitation setting providing Recreation Therapy for individuals with traumatic brain injuries, and part time in Fairfax County Therapeutic Recreation camps.

Shaeron King, CTRS – TR Programmer
Graduated from the University of Florida in 1994 with a degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism with a TR concentration. Currently working on MS in TR from Indiana University through distance education. Has been a TR Programmer with Arlington County since 2004. Previously worked as a Therapeutic Activities Coordinator at Asbury Methodist Village, a Recreation Therapist at Northern Virginia Mental Health, and worked part time for Fairfax County TR.

Graduated from Marymount University with a BS in Psychology with a minor in Education. Began working for Arlington County TR part time during the summer of 1993, became a full time TR Programmer in 2001. She has many years experience working with individuals of all ages and various ability levels. She is in pursuit of becoming a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional.

Graduated from Ohio State University with a B.S. in Forestry, received a M.S. in International Forestry from Michigan State University. Has over 10 years experience in community recreation, evenly split between general and therapeutic recreation. Has been with Arlington County part time since 1997 and became full time in 1999.

April Rosenthal, MS, CTRS – TR Programmer II
Graduated from Green Mountain College with a BS in Therapeutic Recreation (TR). Worked for 4 years in the clinical TR field at various rehabilitation centers in Boston, MA. Graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a MS in Education with a Therapeutic Recreation Administration concentration. Has been working with Arlington County since Sept. 2010. Previously worked in Lakewood, Colorado as the Recreation and Inclusion Services for Everyone (R.I.S.E.) Coordinator and prior to that as the Outdoor Adaptive Recreation Specialist at Cleveland Metroparks, OH. Experiences include clinical settings, inclusions, ADA accommodations, adapted outdoor recreation and city/county/sub-political government community recreation.
