Design and Engineering
The next step in the development of the Long Bridge Park, formerly known as the North Tract Area, is to design and engineer the the Aquatics, Health & Fitness Facility and site. The County, along with a consultant team and the Long Bridge Park Design Advisory Committee, will create detailed construction plans for the Facility and site. These plans are where the conceptual plan becomes a reality and the many details that make a successful park are defined.
The Long Bridge Park Design Advisory Committee was established by the Arlington County Board in order to provide public input into the design process and ensure coordination among the many varying aspects of the design work. The Committee will host a combination of open houses and regularly scheduled meetings during the design process. The public is encouraged to participate in the Open Houses. The Committee’s regularly scheduled meetings are open to the public, but participation is limited to the Committee members.
