If so, the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), a nation-wide program of volunteers who respond to local emergencies and ongoing public health efforts, might be the right fit for you! The Arlington County Medical Reserve Corps (ACMRC) is an award-winning team of community members who assist the Arlington County Public Health Division (ACPHD) with public health initiatives and emergency response. ACMRC members include both medical and non-medical volunteers with a wide variety of experience and skills. Membership is open to anyone over 18 years of age who works and/or lives in Arlington County. New volunteers are required to attend a two-hour orientation session and should be able and willing to assist staff in the event of a true emergency, participate in annual exercises and drills, and support ongoing community outreach and education projects. Join our team today and access free emergency response and preparedness trainings, community outreach activities, and many other opportunities that help improve both your own, as well as the public health and readiness of our community!
