UPDATED - Trash and Recycling Collection Schedule Changes for Week of February 8
Due to ongoing snow removal efforts, particularly on neighborhoods streets, Arlington County will cancel trash and recycling collection for Monday and Tuesday. Residential collection for the remainder of the week will be delayed by one day.
- Wednesday customers are scheduled to be serviced Thursday
- Thursday customers are scheduled to be serviced Friday
- Friday customers are scheduled to be serviced Saturday
Safety is our first priority. It will be difficult for large trucks and equipment to navigate residential roads, many of which have limited accessibility and still may be slippery even after being treated. We also want to allow our snow crews to safely and effectively continue their snow removal efforts.
Residents should place trash and recycling containers at the end of cleared driveways by 7:00 a.m. on their trash collection day to ensure they are accessible to crews. Normal collection will resume next week.
