Parking Meters Closure Permit Guide
Purpose:
When parking meters are used in conjunction with parking construction equipment on County streets, there are additional charges added to the permit.
ATTENTION
The Department of Environmental Services has revised the Application for the Transportation Right-of-way Permits.
You may pickup forms at the Department of Environmental Services office at 2100 Clarendon Boulevard, Suite 800, or forms can be downloaded from this page. To apply for parking meter closures, applicant shall submit application with all supporting documents to the Permitting and Inspections Office. Note: FEES MUST BE DETERMINED BY THE COUNTY.
Information Required :
- Name and contact information
- Parking meter Numbers being affected
Requirements:
- Base fee: $21.00 per permit
- Additional amount equal to the lost revenue from the meter(s) must be paid:
Short term meters (1/2 hour, 1 hour, 2 hour and 4 hour) cost to the contractor is $0.75 per hour (or) $7.50 a day
Long term meters (10 hour and 12 hour) cost to the contractor is $0.50 per hour (or) $5.00 per day
- Additional amount equal to any County expense incurred for the removal and/or reinstallation of meters, signs, etc., required to accommodate this use.
Cost of Removal: meter head only ... $25.00 Each
Cost of Reinstallation of meter head and post … $45.00 Each
