Transportation Planning Bureau

 

Mission: to plan, program, and implement infrastructure and transportation options in collaboration with neighborhoods, the County, and region to foster a livable community--now and in the future.

Transportation Planning Bureau performs long-range planning, analyses, coordination, presentation, and documentation to ensure Environmental Services projects and programs are implemented in a manner that is consistent with County goals. The Transportation Planning office implements the County's Master Transportation Plan, and Capitol Project Management.

In partnership with Subdivision and Bonds Administration, manages the County's review and approval process of subdivision, condominium and public easement plats in accordance with County and State Subdivision Codes and Ordinances.

In partnership with Development Services' Development and Plan Review section, prepares the information for DES going to the Planning Commission and County Board on major site plan and rezoning projects, use permits, General Land Use Plan (GLUP) amendments and Board of Zoning Appeals variances.

The Transportation Planning Program develops and interprets long-range plans and programs for Environmental Services facilities and services by providing the following services:
