Utility Undergrounding Program
The utility undergrounding Program is responsible for coordinating any and all utility undergrounding projects in the County. These utility undergrounding projects consist of the following work:
- the removal of utility poles and placing of aerial utility lines below ground to improve Arlington’s appearance,
- enhance pedestrian safety and
- improve potential economic development
Implementation of undergrounding projects is based on the Utility Underground Designated Areas adopted by the County Board.
