Relining sanitary sewer pipes, including a one-mile stretch of main line among Four Mile Run Drive, will help ensure public health and protect the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

Arlington County Board Awards $1.9 Million to Make Crystal Drive Two-Way Street, Improve Accessibility

The project features safety upgrades for all modes of transportation, including a planned future streetcar, and begins establishing a street network to support improvements called for in the Crystal City Sector Plan and Crystal City Multimodal Study.

Arlington County Board Awards $9.1 Million for Pentagon City Street, Infrastructure Improvements
The project will install improvements along South Hayes Street between 15th Street South and Army Navy Drive.

County Making Strides to Meet Environmental Goals

In 2011-2012, the County opened a LEED Silver Fire station, made its facilities more energy-efficient, took action to protect our watershed, provided transit options that made it easy for people to travel without having to use single-occupancy cars, greened the County fleet, laid the groundwork for a Community Energy Plan and saw recycling rates grow. Super NoVa Transit/TDM Vision Plan Public Meeting, Thursday, May 24, 6:30 p.m.

The Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) will give citizens the opportunity to review the results of the land use and transportation analysis as well as review a summary of future regional transit and TDM needs during a second set of public meetings in May.
