Emergency Management

American Red Cross - Arlington County Chapter

Red Cross at workThe Arlington Chapter of the American Red Cross trains volunteers to respond to single person and multi-family disasters throughout the county. Volunteers provide basic emergency needs to those affected, including shelter, food and clothing and also provide support to relief workers.

All volunteers start by attending a New Volunteer Orientation where they find out about the different levels of response and the training required to respond at each level. The chart below presents an overview of the levels.
