Theophani (Theo) Stamos is the Commonwealth's Attorney for Arlington County and the City of Falls Church.

The Commonwealth's Attorney is a constitutional officer elected to a four-year term.

The Commonwealth's Attorney's Office is responsible for prosecuting crimes committed in Arlington County, felonies committed in the City of Falls Church and all felonies and misdemeanors committed at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

She appoints deputies and assistants under her supervision to prosecute felony, misdemeanor and traffic cases.

Our team of attorneys, victim/witness specialists, legal assistants and support staff is dedicated to making our community a safer place to live, work and visit.

In cooperation with several different law enforcement agencies, we work hard to protect victims and to seek just sanctions for those who choose to violate our laws.

Getting Here

The Commonwealth's Attorney's Office is located on the fifth floor of the Arlington County Courthouse at 1425 N. Courthouse Road, Suite 5200. Street Map

The Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
