Repair and Improvement Programs for Home Owners
There are two non-profit organizations in Arlington that provide assistance to income eligible home owners with maintenance, repair and home improvements.
- The Home Improvement Program (HIP) administered by AHC, Inc. provides technical and financial assistance to income eligible home owners to make repairs and/or improvements to their home.
- Rebuilding Together and Hearts and Hammers administered by RPJ Inc. assists income eligible home owners with maintenance and repair of their homes.
Home Maintenance Workshop
Learn about basic home repairs for plumbing, electricity, heating/air conditioning maintenance, and a new class "Saving Money by Saving Energy at Home", at the fourth annual Home Maintenance Workshop. Classes are free and will be conducted at the Arlington Career Center, 816 South Walter Reed Dr., Arlington Virginia 22204, on Saturday, October 16, 2010, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Home Show and Expo
Learn how to finance your home remodeling project, receive remodeling technical information,build “green,” or make your home more energy efficient at the 4th annual Arlington Home Show and Expo on Saturday, April 10, 2010. Please see information about the Home Show and Expo.
