Affordable Units and Rent Assistance
Although there is no public housing in Arlington County, there are several privately owned apartment complexes where rents are subsidized. The Housing Assistance Brochure (PDF Format) provides a complete list of these complexes with subsidized units. Apartment seekers must contact the management office on site to find out how to apply and what the requirements are.

Housing Grants and Section 8 are rent assistance programs administered by Arlington's Department of Human Services.
APARTMENT COMPLEXES WITH ASSISTED UNITS
The complexes listed below have some units built, acquired or renovated with public funds. As a result, they must set aside units specifically for low or moderate income households at varying levels of affordability. For more information, view the income limits and rents. These complexes are all privately owned and operated. To find out how to apply, contact them directly at the numbers provided below.
