In some Zoning Districts the Arlington County Zoning Ordinance provides the option of approval of a Special Exception Site Plan by the Arlington County Board for the development of property. This option has been widely used in the redevelopment of the Metro Station Corridors. The Zoning Office accepts the applications for these proposals. The public may view these applications materials and plans in the Zoning Office. When the County Board has approved a Site Plan, the records are kept in the Zoning Office. The Zoning Administrator and staff enforce the conditions of the approved Site Plan through its construction and throughout the life of the project.
