The 2010 US Census will be taken on April 1, 2010. It is important that all of us get counted for the 2010 Census 
Arlington County announces the inaugural DESIGNArlington’09 awards program to recognize and celebrate design excellence in Arlington’s built environment. Distinctive architectural, public art, and landscape projects, regardless of size or classification, may be eligible. Submission deadline is October 16, 2009. 
According to the Planning Division's Research Section, it is estimated that as of July 1st, Arlington's population reached 210,000 persons and that 207,400 jobs were situated in the County; a growth of about 5% and 6%, respectively, since 2006. 
The Four Mile Run Cyclist-Pedestrian Bridge Design Competition will commence in October through a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process published on a Bridge Design Competition website. The future bridge will provide a connection between Arlington and Alexandria in the area of South Eads Street and Commonwealth Avenue.
